Welcome to www.tomholmes.net, the location of Thomas J. Holmes Jr. Homepage

This page is in it's infancy. There are so many things I want to do here, and I have so many things to do before I do that. The first thing I got to do is get my boyfriend a new computer desk (an inexpensive one) and then I got to put a new hard drive and a CD-ROM burner into it.

Once that is done, then I want to get a new scanner ... or, what I can do is take a lot of my negatives for photos and then get a Photo CD made. This would allow me to add many new pictures to my web-site. I'd like to add pictures of my boyfriend, my dogs, my cat, and any photos of vacations I took.

Don't be surprised if this site is hosted by Orion and I am running all new JSP pages.

I had two previous versions of my home page:

http://people.ne.mediaone.net/tomholmes was my first home page, and is hosted at Mediaone which is now called AT&T Broadband. I started this page years ago, and I was starting to do web-development professionally. Since then, I moved onto my second web-site.

http://tomholmes.ne.mediaone.net/tjh was the second site that I built, and is being hosted at my home on my web server. Originally, I had intended this home site to be a mirror site to what was on Mediaone, and would also allow me to prototype changes before I sent those fixes/changes to the Mediaone hosted site. But, having this web-server at home gave me the chance to create more web-sites for myself, e-mail, newsgroups, my family, etc. I also got to build these sites with much more functionality, and I got to use server-side Active Server Pages as well as database functionality.
